About SAMRA

The San Antonio Model Railroad Association, Inc. (SAMRA) is an historical and educational society chartered as a non profit organization in the state of Texas. SAMRA meets for the purpose of preserving and teaching the history of railroading through the building, displaying and operating of model railroads.

Our club resides in the BOB CLARKE RAIL HERITAGE MUSEUM, dedicated to the late Master Modelbuilder Bob Clarke.

The most spectacular aspect of the museum is a space of 3000 square feet devoted to building operating model railroad dioramas depicting railroad activities in the greater San Antonio region during the last half of the 20th century. Both HO and N-scale dioramas will be built. The Museum is ADA Handicapped Accessible.
