Lavender Mine is the smallest and oldest of three Arizona Smelting and Refining Company (ASARCO) mines served by the M&Sw.  Tom built the mine using a modified Campbell Scale Models “Silver Spur mine” craftsman wood kit.  Fred used styrene to scratchbuild the miners’ cabins on the hillside;  he used plans of the cabins in Testla, CA printed in the Narrow-Gauge and Short-Line Gazette.
