| An “officers’ special” – FCP Extra 1506 -- is southbound along the Tonto Basin canyon wall. In a few minutes it will cross the head of the canyon and then pass over “Adams’ Bridge”, a straining timber-truss deck bridge scratchbuilt in wood by Stan Adams. Rockwork in Tonto Basin was done with large plaster molds applied “wet” to the canyon walls and finished with acrylic washes. Tom did most of the rock casting, with assistance from MMR John Lowrance, Orphy Neathery, and Fred. |
